The Johnston County Building Industry Association organizes and hosts many events throughout the year that serve to benefit our members, our communities, and to assist in covering the operating costs of the association which in turn help to keep your dues low.

We start the year off with our Economic Development Forum where we explore the future of economic development in Johnston County. Here you will gain insights into the dynamic real estate market, engage with industry experts, network with professionals and be a part of shaping Johnston County’s growth.

Each spring and fall the JCBIA holds their annual Golf Tournaments. In 2024, the Spring Tournament will be held at Riverwood Golf Course in Clayton. The date will be May 10. The Fall Tournament will be held at the Country Club of Johnston County in Smithfield on October 18. More information is coming soon.

Beginning in July, the JCBIA will be hosting Continuing Education classes at our office in Smithfield. For more information on our classes and to register, click on the Education tab under Payment Portal & More on our website.

Throughout the year, the association holds Quarterly Board Meetings and General Membership Meetings. This year our May General Membership Meeting will host a Special Information Forum along with an Americana Cookout!

New this year, our summer General Membership Meeting will be a Summer BBQ & Party. Stay tuned for more information as our “Party Committee” finalizes plans. The Summer General Membership Meeting and Party will be held on August 2.

Back by popular demand is our Deck the Doors Open House Tours! More information will be coming soon on how to enter your homes so be on the look-out. Dates have been confirmed for the first two weekends in November – November 2-3 and November 9-10. Sign-up forms will be coming soon.
In November we have added a new event! On November 8 we will host a Low Country Boil at the JCBIA office location for our members and their guests. Stay tuned for more information and a sign-up form.

And, to finish up the year, we will be holding our annual Christmas Dinner & General Membership Meeting in December. New this year, we are planning a party with dancing and a band! More details to come. During this event, we will announce the winners of the Builder of the Year Award, Associate of the Year Award & New Member of the Year Award. August 2 Summer BBQ & Party + General Membership Meeting

The Johnston County Building Industry Association (JCBIA) is thrilled to announce our upcoming Fall Golf Tournament, set to take place at the picturesque Country Club of Johnston County on October 18.
