The Johnston County Building Industry Association (JCBIA) is a construction trade association that has been anchored in Smithfield since 1978. The association is Johnston County’s foundation for construction needs, and most importantly a resource for business growth, industry news, money saving discounts, and so much more for its members!

When you join the JCBIA you automatically become a member of all three levels of the NAHB federation: Johnston County Building Industry Association (local), the North Carolina Home Builders Association (state) and the National Association of Home Builders (national).  That’s three memberships for the price of one!

Educational Programs—The JCBIA holds seminars quarterly at our General Membership meetings. Speakers recently discussed industry-related topics such as the 540 completion, future business/retail coming to our area, state and county regulations, contract law, material pricing and more. In addition, JCBIA holds an annual Economic Forum and provides continuing education classes for builders who need their 8 hours of CE each year to meet the requirements of the NC Licensing Board for General Contractors.
